Green Wash Up Station

The container kitchen is fully equipped with a commercial dishwasher, hot water, supply and waste pumps, freshwater supply and grey water waste tanks.

The container can be connected to a standard 240volt, 15amp supply or a generator. If there is access to fresh water on site, then all the better as the system plugs into a tap with a garden hose.

The green wash up system uses commercial quality plates, bowls, and stainless-steel cutlery and crockery. These are included in the hire costs.

Gone are the days of reducing plastic waste by using biodegradable cardboard and compostable sugar cane crockery with wooden or bamboo cutlery. This system eliminates all waste.

The wash up station can be located back of house and can be easily operated by two people. Collectors roam the venue collecting used cutlery & crockery from designated collection points and transport the cutlery & crockery to the green wash up station.The cutlery and crockery can be washed and redistributed to the food vendors to be used again…and again…and again.

With up to 1,200 10-inch and 6-inch plates, 500 bowls and 1,200 sets of cutlery available the green wash up station can operate for functions of up to 20, 000 people.

The 20-foot container that houses the green wash up station is transported with a tilt tray tow truck and can be manoeuvred into very tight locations.

The green wash up station is based in Cairns and is easily transported to an area from Townsville to Cooktown and throughout the Atherton Tablelands.

If you are outside of this area the container can be shipped by road or rail to your location and it is available for dry hire with the facility for the hirer to staff the green wash up station.

Pricing

  • Hire costs are dependent upon location and length of hire.
  • Standard hire costs are $2,000 for a single day plus transportation costs and staff travel, this includes the cutlery & crockery, 2 staff, fresh water if required.
